WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Also known as collagen conduction therapy, microneedling, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using thin needles to repeatedly puncture the skin. Th repeated punctures to the skin encourages the skin to produce more collagen. The procedure can help reduce appearance of acne, scars, and wrinkles. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, additional collagen may help make the skin firmer, smoother, and more tone.
Used to treat sun damage, rough texture, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and acne.
Little to no down time.
Minor redness and irritation can last up to a week after the procedure.
It is recommended to have at least 3 treatments for best results.
Microneedling can be repeated every 4-6 weeks.
PROCEDURE
The practitioner will cleanse your skin to remove dirt and oil.
They will then apply a numbing cream for comfort.
Numbing will take 20-30 minutes and then it will be removed.
Skin is cleansed once more before beginning the procedure.
A combination of serums will be applied to your face in sections, then microneedling pen will glide across your face in a cross-hatch pattern.
Once the procedure is completed, a cooling mask will be applied.
Redness and skin irritation can occur and will typically last a few days after the procedure.
