• Temporarily discontinue non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, naproxen), blood-thinning medications, vitamin E, herbal supplements, etc., a few days before the treatment if cleared by your medical provider.

• Stop drinking and smoking a day or two before the treatment.

• Inform the provider if you have cold sores or active infections around the treatment areas.

• Our nurse practitioners examine your facial skin, discuss your goals, and review your health history to determine the ideal dermal filler for you.

• Once the ideal filler is chosen, treatment areas will be marked and numbing gel will be applied for comfort. Expect numbing to take approximately 30-40 minutes.

•  The dermal filler is then injected into the targeted facial regions using ultrafine needles. 

• The number of injections depends on your specific goals and treatment plan.

• You'll see the results right away!

• You should expect some redness, swelling and possible bruising to the injection sites, which will usually go away within 24-48 hours. However, most clients miss the lip swelling! 

• Treatments can last 6-12 months

• You will want to avoid extensive sun exposure or heat for 72 hours.

• Avoid strenuous physical activities for 24 hours.

• Don’t touch the treatment areas on your face or apply pressure for a day.

• Don’t wear makeup or apply cosmetic products for at least 24 hours.

• Use a cold compression as needed. You can take Tylenol to reduce discomfort.

• Avoid aspirin and NSAIDs for at least 5 days following filler.
